My favorites of the new arrivals.

Upended Poppy Tee - $68

Grown In The Shade Top - $68
I always had a thing for 3/4 peasant sleeves.

To Plaid or NOT to Plaid

Am I the only one who finds plaids on shirts horrendously ugly?
I could understand on a skirt....maybe, but not on shirts. It reminds me of a clip South Park did once. It was a parody on a commercial for a toy action figure, The ALABAMA man. He wore a red plaid shirt and came in a set with a beer can and a bowling ball (no offense to anyone residing in Alabama).

If I wanted something this ugly, why would I bother paying Anthropologie prices for it?
I'm sure big plaid shirts are not hard to come by in stores like Target and Sears.

Boden Spring 2010 Preview

Though Winter hasn't officially kicked off yet, Boden is already showing off their Spring preview.
Not only that, they're offering 20% off with free shipping and free returns if you shop the Spring preview before December 3rd.
I sound like a payed advertisement, but I assure you that I am in no way affiliated with Boden, I just enjoy being the bearer of good news (and good discounts) .
If the folks at Boden would like to show appreciation for this free PR, you know where to find me :-).

Boden's signature look are bright, happy colors paired with wearable silhouettes.

Here are a couple of items from the Spring collection that caught my eye.

Scallop Trim Coat
Favourite Jersey Dress

Santorini Cardigan

Fun Skirt

Hamptons Cardigan

Printed Swishy skirt

St Barts Cardigan

Canvas Plimsolls

Ebay In Person

I've just received an e-mail that literally had me stunned. It seems, E-bay is planning on opening a physical retail space during the holiday season on West 57th Street in NYC. The store is due to open on November 20th and will be a 5,500 square foot space housing apparel from popular fashion brands. When the article went on to list these brands and I saw Anthropologie on the list...well all kind of day dreaming set in. Most e-bay items tend to sell for under $40. Picture yourself surround by Anthropologie stuff with Target-like price tags. I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it. Then of course somewhere in my fantasy I hear a stampede of heels and crazed women with wild hair grabbing stuff from under my nose. Oh dear. Where was I?
Oh yes, some of the other brands mentioned were, Norman Kamali, Michael Kors handbags, L.A.M.B., Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue and Vera Wang Princess fragrances. That's not mentioning electronics and home items.
Sounds good in theory, but am I ready to brave a mad herd of discount holiday shoppers?
Click HERE to read the full article and please let me know if you'll be venturing out there.
